for many new adventures! I have been commuting to work every day for about a month now and have had several exciting experiences. I only live about 2 miles from work, so whats the point in driving when there are much better means of transportation anyway (a.k.a. man power!). The first weeks I got several crazy looks, and a few unfriendly gestures, from my roadway companions in those silly things they call cars. More recently, I have been getting some more friendly gestures and even passed a fellow self powered 2 wheel commuter! Maybe we are having some success in getting Beaumont to explore healthier ways of living.

I have also been gearing up to begin ultralight backcountry camping in the local areas of The Big Thicket. This is a great area to get outside, exercise, explore, and learn. 1st overnight trip is set for early spring. Next year’s backcountry goal is to conquer the 128 mile long Trail Between the Lakes in East Texas!!

So I updated to a new theme that I am using on several sites I run. It is really really good looking (well, right now it is kinda only a little boring, but give it time) and will let me customize the look and feel even more. I am just beginning to scratch the surface of it’s features.

PLUS – I put the videos tyler tried to post up on YouTube! So they are on his post now. The next time he and I hang out I am going to show him the YouTube trick… so expect more video from Triman5.

UPDATE: I went ahead and tweaked the look and feel a bit. Added some rotating images to the right and a nice red outline (tribute to Triman5)

I have done a bunch of updates and changed the theme. Let me know if anything breaks.

I have also given Triman admin access so that the site can be more in his hands when I venture off to Philly.

Well. Almost halfway done with my first ride back after my crash.

Wrist is sore. But legs lungs and arms feel good.

I upgraded WordPress (the sofware that runs this blog) and it broke the old theme I was using.

Its late and I wanted to redo the site design anyway… so I am just going back to the default design for now.
